Unable to Log In 

1. You are trying to log in to the wrong website

There are two different websites:

• Toernooi.nl
• mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl

You may only have an account for one of these websites.

For example:

• You are trying to log in to Toernooi.nl, but you only have a mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl account.
• Or you are trying to log in to mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl, but you only have a Toernooi.nl account.

2. You have two separate accounts

It is possible to have:

• one account on Toernooi.nl
• and another account on mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl

In that case, you must use the correct login details for the correct website.

For example:

• You are trying to use your Toernooi.nl account to log in to mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl
• Or you are trying to use your mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl account to log in to Toernooi.nl

3. You have a linked KNLTB account

Some users have a linked KNLTB account.
This means you can use the same username and password for both websites.

However, the websites are still technically separate systems.

Important information

• You can request your username on both websites.
• You can only request or reset your password on mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl.
• You cannot retrieve the username of a Toernooi.nl account via mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl.
• When requesting a username on Toernooi.nl for a linked KNLTB account, it will simply display:
  "(KNLTB account)"
  There is no visible difference between a normal KNLTB account and a linked KNLTB account.

Username must be unique

Your username must always be unique.

This means:

• If you already have an account on mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl, you cannot create a new account on Toernooi.nl using the same username.
• The same applies the other way around.

Linking accounts

During account creation on mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl, you are asked whether you already have a Toernooi.nl account and if you would like to link it.

On Toernooi.nl, this question is not asked, and accounts cannot be linked afterwards.

Why this can be confusing

For example:

• You already have a Toernooi.nl account.
• You try to retrieve your login details on mijnKNLTB.toernooi.nl.
• The system says:
  "0 details found"
• But when you try to create a new account using the same username, you receive a message saying that the username is already in use.

Email address vs username

Many users use their email address as their username.

Because of this, users sometimes think they are not allowed to use the same email address twice.

This is not correct.

You may use the same email address, but you cannot use the same username for multiple accounts.
