Setup Stripe payments

Online payments allow players to pay entry fees during registration. Stripe processes credit card payments and transfers the funds directly to the organizer’s Stripe account.

Steps

Step 1 — Request a Stripe connection

Before payments can be accepted, your Stripe account must be connected to the Tournamentsoftware platform.

1. Send an email to:
   helpdesk@tournamentsoftware.com

2. Request an invitation link for Stripe setup.

You will receive a link that allows you to create or connect your Stripe account.

Step 2 — Complete Stripe account setup

Follow the steps in the invitation to:

• Create a Stripe account, or

• Connect an existing Stripe account.

After completing the setup, your account will be ready to receive payments.

Step 3 — Configure Stripe in Tournament Planner

1. Open Tournament Planner.

2. Go to Internet → Publish.

3. Open the Online Payments tab.

4. Select Stripe as the payment method.

5. Enter the following details:

   • Account Name

   • Stripe Account ID

The Account ID can be found in your Stripe account profile and begins with:

Important information

• Payments are transferred directly to your Stripe account.

• Tournamentsoftware does not store or process any money.

• Stripe charges transaction fees for processing payments.

• An additional 2% fee is charged for using online payments through the platform.

• Refunds must be processed directly through Stripe, as Tournamentsoftware cannot access your Stripe account.

Result

After completing the setup:

• Players can pay entry fees online using credit cards.

• Payments are securely processed by Stripe.

• Funds are transferred directly to your Stripe account.
