Recover lost tournament file

Lost a tournament file after a computer crash and no longer have access to a local backup.

Tournament files are stored locally on the computer. If the system crashes and no backup was created, the local file may be permanently lost. However, if the tournament was previously published online, a backup of the last published version may still be available.

Steps

Request a backup of your published tournament

Follow these steps:

  1. Open your tournament on the Tournamentsoftware website.

  2. Copy the tournament link from your browser address bar.
    The link will look similar to:
    https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/tournament.asp?id=xxxx
    (the final code is the unique tournament identifier).

  3. Create a new email message.

  4. Send the email to:
    helpdesk@tournamentsoftware.com

  5. Use the subject line:
    request backup file

  6. Paste the copied tournament link into the email message.

  7. Send the request.

The support team will provide a backup of the last published version of your tournament, if available.
