Online result entry

Allow selected people to enter match results online using a mobile phone, tablet, or computer.

The Online Results feature allows match results to be entered directly on the tournament website. This helps tournaments with many courts or venues manage results efficiently and prevents crowds gathering around the match control desk.

Steps

Enable Online Results

Before users can enter results online:

  1. Open the main menu.

  2. Select Internet → Publish.

  3. Enable the Online Results feature.

  4. Create a password with at least 8 characters.

  5. Publish the tournament.

This password will be used to authorize users who are allowed to enter results.

Match Control can revoke access at any time by changing the password and republishing the tournament.

Authorize users

To allow someone to enter results:

  1. Share the Online Results password with the authorized user.

  2. The user opens the tournament page on Tournamentsoftware.com.

  3. Log in using their Tournamentsoftware account.

  4. Open the Matches tab.

  5. Click Enter Results.

The Enter Results button is only visible when:

  • The user is logged in

  • The tournament is within its active dates.

After entering the password once, the account remains authorized until the password changes.

Enter match results

To submit results:

  1. Select the match.

  2. Enter the score.

The system can automatically complete results when losing scores are entered.

Example:

Entering:

  • 2

  • 4

Automatically produces:

  • 6–2

  • 6–4

The system automatically selects the winner.

Match status options include:

  • Walkover (WO)

  • Retired

Once saved, results are published online immediately.

Correcting results

Results entered online cannot be edited on the website.

If corrections are needed:

  1. Open Tournament Planner.

  2. Correct the result.

  3. Republish the tournament.

Download results into Tournament Planner

To import online results:

  1. Open the main menu.

  2. Select Internet → Download Results.

  3. Check for available updates.

  4. Download and process the results.

The results will then be integrated into the tournament data.
