# Manually add players

## Manually add a player to a tournament instead of importing entries or receiving them through online registration.

Sometimes players are added after the registration deadline or are not registered through the online entry system. In these cases, organizers can manually create a player entry in Tournament Planner.

#### **Steps**

#### Add a new player

1. Open the main menu.
2. Select **Player** → **Add Player**.
3. The **Player Properties** window will open.

#### Configure player information

### **General tab**

Enter the player's basic information, such as:

- Name
- Personal details

### **Address tab**

Add contact details, such as:

- Mobile phone number
- Email address

This allows you to contact the player directly from **Tournament Planner**, for example to send match start times.

### **Sport tab**

Specify sport-related information:

- Player level
- Rating
- Rankings

Rankings can also be imported via:  
**Player → Import Ranking**.

### **Events tab**

Select the events the player will participate in.

For **doubles or mixed doubles**:

1. Select the doubles event first.
2. Choose the partner from the dropdown list.

### **Availability tab**

Define the player’s availability:

1. Activate the **availability matrix**.
2. Mark unavailable time slots.

You can add, modify, or remove unavailable times using:

- Mouse
- Keyboard
- Context menu

### **Fee tab**

Shows the player's **outstanding balance** during the tournament.

### **Note tab**

Add internal notes about the player, such as:

- Preferences
- Special requests

### **Messages tab**

Displays all messages sent to or received for the player.

#### Result

After saving the player information:

- The player is added to the tournament.
- The player can be assigned to events and included in draws.
