Email setup in Tournament Planner

Configure Tournament Planner to send emails using email providers such as Gmail, Hotmail (Office 365), or AOL.

Tournament Planner requires email settings to be configured before emails can be sent from within the software. Modern email providers use secure authentication

Steps

Set up email sending in Tournament Planner

  1. Open Tournament Planner.

  2. Go to the Extra menu.

  3. Click Options.

  4. Open the Internet tab.

  5. Choose one of the available email methods:

    • SMTP

    • Gmail

    • Office 365 (Hotmail)

  6. Select Gmail or Office 365 if you want to use secure login.

  7. When sending an email, a browser window will automatically open.

  8. Log in with your email account.

  9. Grant permission for Tournament Planner to send emails on your behalf.

    • For Gmail users: make sure to select “Send email on your behalf” during the login process.

  10. After permission is granted, emails will be sent successfully from Tournament Planner.
