# Backup restore version error

## Version error when attempting to restore a backup file in the software.

This error occurs when a backup file was created using an older version of the software and is not compatible with the version currently being used. Differences between software versions can prevent the backup from being restored correctly.

#### **Steps**

### Restore the backup using the correct version

1. Download and install the **latest version** of the program.
2. Open the software using the updated version.
3. Create a new backup file from the current version if possible.
4. Attempt to restore the backup again.

Using the latest software version ensures compatibility with backup files.
