# Add teams

## Add teams and manage team information within the competition.

Teams must be added and configured before they can participate in events, scheduling, or match organization. Proper team setup ensures correct communication, participation settings, and payment tracking.

#### **Steps**

#### Open the Teams view

1. Click the **Teams** button on the left side of the screen.
2. The **Teams view** will open, displaying all teams in the competition.

#### Add a new team

You can add a team in two ways:

- Open the main menu and select **Team** → **Add**, or
- Click the **Add** button in the interface.

After creating a team, the **Team Properties** window will open.

#### Configure Team Properties

### **General tab**

Enter basic team information:

- Team name
- Events in which the team participates
- Team shirt color  
  *(helps prevent teams wearing similar colors during matches)*

### **Contact tab**

Enter team contact details, including:

- Email address

This allows emails to be sent directly from **Team Sport Planner**.

### **Payment tab**

View and manage entry fee payments:

- See payment overview
- Record new payments by clicking **Add**

### **Note tab**

Add internal notes or remarks related to the team for organizational purposes.

#### Result

After saving the team properties:

- The team is added to the competition.
- The team can be scheduled, managed, and contacted within the system.
